The Lord's Day

This is the day that the Lord has made.  Let us rejoice and be glad in it!
This is my first post and I am hoping to bring encouragement to other mom's along the way.  I have three grown children, four still at home, and two grandbabies.  I can tell you that it is with much prayer that I am close with all of them.  God is so good!   There have been many trials yet God has brought us through them all and held me in times of sadness and in joy.

My most recent lesson and recurring theme is "Give thanks in all things."  "Rejoice always."  Remember His goodness and grace.  Praise Him even when you don't feel like it... especially then!

I am currently writing out promises and scriptures to read and memorize weekly.  If I can do 52 verses on index cards and memorize each one in a week, I will know them all in one year!  It is a choice to hide God's Word in my heart rather than allow my own negative feelings to take over.  Replace the lies with the truth,  the complaining with thankfulness, the discouragement with hope.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."  Phil. 4:13

One down....  fifty-one more to go!
